      Hydrolysis is the weathering reaction that occurs when the two surfaces of water and compound meet.

      Explanation:

      It involves the reaction between mineral ions and the ions of water (OH- and H+) and results in the decomposition of the rock surface by forming new compounds. Temperatures usually stay high (above 70) throughout the year. Humid Subtropical climate is known for hot humid summers. During the summer the average temperature is between 70 and 80 degrees.
