The Supreme court of India was established on 26th January 1950.
All courts within the jurisdiction of India are bound by a law proclaimed by the Supreme Court. It has the power of judicial review to strike down legislative and executive conduct contrary to the constitution’s provisions and system, the division of power between the Union and States, or contrary to the constitutional rights guaranteed by the Constitution.
