PMBJP is a campaign launched by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Government of India, to provide quality medicines at affordable prices to the masses through special kendras known as Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana Kendra.
Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendra are dedicated outlets for the sale of janaushadhi (generic drug)
Bureau of Pharma PSUs of India: BPPI is the implementing agency and society registered under the Societies Registration act, 1860.
BPPI is under the administrative control of Dept. of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers.
It coordinates procurement, supply, and marketing of generic drugs through Janaushadhi Kendra, with the support of all Pharma PSUs.
