      Functions of NITI aayog are:

      • To foster innovation, creativity, information and entrepreneurial support network through a shared group of national and international experts.
      • To strengthen the role of States in policy making process by promoting cooperative federalism.
      • Maintaining state-of-the-art resource centers for sustainable and inclusive growth best practices and fostering good governance.
      • Formulate village-level plans, and incorporate them at higher levels of government.
      • Incorporating national security within economic development planning.
      • Moving on technology integration, infrastructure development for policy enforcement.
      • They also play an important role in the strategic and long-term policy planning process and track their development.
      • They evolve a shared vision of national growth goals and policies and engage States actively. This will include the ‘national agenda’ basis for the implementation by the Prime Minister and the Chief Ministers.
      • New perspectives and expertise on government policies and services are mainstreamed into a shared network of national and international experts, professionals, and other collaborators. It will mean being the connection between the Government and the outside world.
