      The Indian National Congress is a political party in India. On December 28, 1885, it was established in Bombay, where it held its first session. Annie Besant, Subhash Chandra Bose, Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, K. Kamaraj, P. V. Narasimha Rao, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are prominent leaders of the party.
