      Essay on Taj Mahal:

      essay on taj mahal

One of the seven wonders of the modern world is the Taj Mahal. It is a majestic mausoleum of ivory-white marble, constructed on the south bank of the Yamuna River in Agra city.

The Taj Mahal is the materialized vision of love. It marks a perfect indelible remark of the Mughal Architecture. The Taj Mahal was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan to house the tomb of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal.

Taj Mahal was built In 1631. Shah Jahan ordered the Taj Mahal to be built in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Mumtaz Mahal died on 17th June 1631 while giving birth to her 14th child.

The construction of the main building began in 1632 and was finished in 1648, while the buildings around it and the construction of the garden were completed five years later.

The marble with which they designed the Taj Mahal, imported from all over the world from different countries. The Taj Mahal mausoleum is mostly decorated with floral motifs, often engraved in marble or pietra dura, a stone marquetry technique.

The text is written in a language related to ‘Thuluth,’ a style specifically identified with the Persian calligrapher Amanat Khan, who lived at the Mughal court and was responsible for creating the entire Taj Mahal calligraphy.

The most famous piece of Islamic architecture in the world is the Taj Mahal. Even if anyone is unfamiliar with the Umayyad Mosque in Syria or the Royal Mosque in Iran, at least they will know the Taj. He would be able to remember his figure even though he believes it to be a castle, not a tomb.
